Roadmap

DAY 1: BARCELONA

  • Arrival in Barcelona.
  • Private transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 3 nights with breakfast.

2ND DAY: BARCELONA

Breakfast at the hotel. Regular full-day tour of the capital of Catalonia, the second largest city in Spain and currently one of the most fantastic cities in the world for its beauty, climate, cultural heritage, the works of Antoni Gaudí and its charming Mediterranean atmosphere. The panoramic tour takes in the following sights:

  • Tour de Greece: Barcelona's most charming avenue;
  • Park Güell: built by Antonio Gaudí to be a garden city;
  • Plaza España: built during the 1929 International Exhibition, one of the largest squares in Spain;
  • Feira de Muestras: a convention center;
  • Art Museum of Catalonia: located in the National Palace on Montjuïc hill;
  • Jardins del Mirador de l'Alcalde: a viewpoint with spectacular views of Porto and Las Ramblas;
  • Monument to Colón: one of Barcelona's most famous statues.

In the evening, the suggestion is to have dinner in the Gothic Quarter.

3RD DAY: BARCELONA

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Sant Sadurní d'Anoia for a guided tour of Caves Codorniu, visiting its gardens, museum, underground cellars and, finally, a Cavas tasting. Then it's on to Vilafranca del Penedès, which has a cultivation area covering 47 municipalities in the south of the province of Barcelona and 16 municipalities in the province of Tarragona. Visit to one of Spain's most important wineries, Bodegas Torres, where you can learn about the history of the winery and the different processes involved in making wine (includes tasting).

Back to Barcelona and, for dinner, the suggestion is to try tapas in the Born district.

4TH DAY: BARCELONA - CARCASSONE - TOULOUSE

After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, departure for Carcassone. The first impression of Carcassone is that of an enchanted castle, a true relic of the Middle Ages. The place is home to a multitude of restaurants and hotels that revive, through decoration and local cuisine, the golden age of the city, between the 11th and 13th centuries.

Free time for lunch.

In the afternoon, departure for Toulouse, known as the "pink city" for its unique pink terracotta brick architecture. This city combines the charm of an old town with a renewed and cosmopolitan essence. You can take advantage of the late afternoon to explore the historic center.

Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.

5TH DAY: TOULOUSE - BRIVE-LA-GAILLARD - SARLAT-DE-CANÉDA - BERGERAC

Departure for Brive-la-Gaillard and free time to enjoy the town. We suggest having an authentic cassoulet for lunch. After lunch, continue to Sarlat-la-Canéda, which has the highest concentration of medieval, Renaissance and 17th-century façades among French cities. Sarlat's buildings have been listed since 1962 and form an open-air museum.

Then it's off to Bergerac, a region of the Dordogne, full of villages and famous for its fine cuisine rich in seasonings and spices.

Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast and gastronomic dinner.

DAY 6: BERGERAC - ENTRE-DEUX-MERS - CASTILLON-LA-BATAILLE - ST. EMILION - BORDEAUX EMILION - BORDEAUX

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Departure to discover the beautiful Entre-deux-Mers region and the town of Castillon-la-Bataille. During lunch, a tasting course at the Ecole de Vins de Saint-Émilion.

In the afternoon, you'll pass through the Saint-Émilion and Pomerol district, with its many wineries. Visit and tasting at Chateau Laniote and Grand Cru Classe de St. Emilion. Visit to Chateau Franc Mayne, Grand Cru Classe de St. Emilion. In the same district, visit to the monolithic church of Saint-Émilion, carved out of a rock in the center of town.

Upon arrival in Bordeaux, accommodation for 3 nights with breakfast.

DAY 7: BORDEAUX - PESSAC - BORDEAUX

Breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour of the historic center of Bordeaux with a local guide. Then a visit to the Pessac Leognan wine region, with two private visits to two wineries.

Back in Bordeaux, visit the Cité du Vin, a brand new museum and exhibition hall dedicated to wine.

Free evening for independent activities.

DAY 8: BORDEAUX - COGNAC - FRONSAC - BORDEAUX

Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of the Cognac region, which gave its name to the famous drink. Visit to a family that produces cognac and pine nuts locally.

Then a visit to the town of Fronsac for a picnic and an afternoon of tasting in a vineyard.

In the evening, private transfer to the Château Grand Barrail for a 3-course meal (without drinks) and return to Bourdeaux at the end of the night.

DAY 9: BORDEAUX - PARIS

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out (bags will be taken directly to Paris).

Transfer to the train station and boarding to Paris. On arrival, 4-hour private tour for an overview of the city.

DAY 10: PARIS

Breakfast at the hotel.

The day will be spent exploring Paris independently. Includes a ticket to visit the top level of the Eiffel Tower and a cruise on the River Seine.

11TH DAY: PARIS

Free day for optional activities. We suggest strolling through the streets of Paris and visiting the city's beautiful museums.

DAY 12: PARIS

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to Paris airport.
